Program Highlights

3rd tier in Snow Base winter program. Runs Friday to Monday. Sleep outside two nights. Put your winter camping skills to the test while exploring the entire Tomahawk property.

Possible activities: Wilderness Survival Merit Badge, Winter Shelter Building, Ice Climbing, Kite Flying, geocache for your Food, Cross Country Skiing, Sled Shoot, Snow Shoeing, Team challenge Games, Winter Cooking

Grade Level

Recommended for 8th grade and above with half the crew having already participated in Spearhead

Cost

$120/participant

Sleeping Arrangements

Sleep inside Friday night and outside Saturday and Sunday night.

Friday
7:30-8 pm Check-in, assign bunks, check out gear, winter weather training. 9:45 p.m. Welcome and Cracker Barrel
10:00 pm Adult leader meeting
11:00 pm Lights out, all quiet

Saturday
8:00 am Breakfast
8:45 am Finish trail preparation
9:30 am All crews on trail
10:30 am Start Shelters/set up camp
12:30 pm Lunch in the crew site
1:00 pm Merit Badge Requirement work
5:00 pm Dinner preparation
6:00 pm Evening meal and campfire
8:00 pm Evening star gazing/trek
9:00 pm Lanterns out, all quiet Saturday

9:00 am On Trail
10:30 am Set up camp
12:30 pm Lunch in the crew site
1:00 pm Merit Badge requirement work

8:45 am Return to Base Camp/check in gear

Trading Post open 11-12 am & 1-1:30 pm
12:30 pm Clean up
1:30 pm Depart for home
