With 1200 acres of open fields, rolling hills and thick forest, Camp
is an ideal spot for Cub Scout Family Camp. You have the
opportunity to participate in Staff led programs, explore on your own,
or just relax.

Campsite assignments are made by family. You will be contacted a
week prior to your scheduled date at camp, you can inform the staff
member of any special requests at that time.
Capacity: 40 People
Tonkawa Lodge is located in the center of camp and provides a very
comfortable sleeping option for families. This building includes
showers, restrooms, internet access, and 12 separate bunk areas.
Classic Scout tents are available for check out at no additional
charge. These tents are fully bug proof and water proof.
Each tent can sleep 2-3 people.

There is plenty of space in each campsite for campers to set up their

Tonkawa Lodge serves as the main shower and restroom facility for
entire camp. A single indoor restroom is also available in the
Latrines and porta pots are located throughout camp - you won't be
to go far without seeing one! They are in all program areas that
don't have restroom access and in the campsite area. Latrines are
stocked with toillet paper and a hand washing station.
All of your meals will be served cafeteria style in the dining
Here is a snap shot of what you can expect on the first night of
camp! There will not be a meal served on the first night so
please eat before coming to camp. Note - Stearns does not hold
swim checks on Friday night, instead we will do swim checks during your

- You will be directed to the main parking area. A staff member
will greet you and direct you to check-in.
- Bring your health form and shooting sports waiver to check - in.
- After check-in you will be directed to your campsite. A
staff member will be available to help you check out a tent and get
- Your campsite commissioner will meet you in your campsite to
review emergency procedures and take you on a tour of camp.
- Lights Out! Get some rest before your first full day at camp!
There are three family activity times (Saturday Morning, Saturday
afternoon, and Sunday Morning). During each Family Activity Time,
you will have a set of activities to choose from. Each activity
has an open format, meaning that you can come and go at any time.
All activities are designed to be age appropriate for Cub Scout
age children (6 - 11 years old).
